Complaints and compliments

We take complaints very seriously. If you need to make a complaint about the surgery or the services we offer, please contact the surgery by email or telephone. We will answer your concerns as soon as possible.

We will usually acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and you will receive a formal reply within 28 working days.

Our Practice procedure is not able to deal with questions of legal liability or compensation. We hope you will use it to allow us to look into and, if necessary, put right any problems you have identified or mistakes that have been made.

If you chose to use this procedure it will not affect your right to complain to the Patient Advice & Liaison Service if you so wish.

Please note that we have to respect our duty of confidentiality to patients and a patient’s consent will be necessary if a complaint is not made by that patient in person.

Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) and complaints

Often it can be difficult to navigate around the various organisations within the NHS, and locally we have a number of providers that we commission.

To make it easy to raise comments and concerns the North East Essex CCG has a complaints team which works alongside the PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) team.
